Subaudition - The Scope (2006) (V2)

From myspace.com:
Subaudition was formed in the beginning of 2003. The duo's intention was to create extremely emotional acoustic music - as opposed to the rock/metal kind of projects they had had earlier. Subaudition's first demo-cd Waves at Ease was released in January 2004 and it included five tracks that displayed the band's potential to the emotional music audience and media.
Immediately after releasing their debut demo the band started creating music for their second release, which was at that supposed to be an EP. However, six months later the guys were already recording a full-length album that was to include nine tracks. The recordings were finished in October and the guys sent the disc out to a handful of labels and members of the press. The labels' interest surprised the band, even though they knew The Scope was no average debut album.
The negotiations for a record deal started with a certain German label and after some time the contract was inked. Subaudition's debut effort was officially released in April 2006. All in all, reviews have been positive, and we've gotten praises & feedback from all over the globe through our Myspace site. So if you haven't already, check out our mp3s and buy the album from your reliable Prophecy retailer. Anyone interested in atmospheric music in the vein of Anathema, Pink Floyd, Tenhi, Sigur Rós and The Gathering should find 'their piece' from Subaudition as well.

The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble - s/t (V0)

From myspace profile:
The Kilimanjaro : extinct volcano in Northern Tanzania, the highest peak in Africa.
Darkjazz : mysterious, black in shade, liveliness, spirit, excitement.
Ensemble : all the parts of a thing taken together, so that each part is considered only in relation to the whole.

The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble is a weird combination of the organic and the mechanic. Contrary to technophobes' beliefs that a machine has no soul.
Jason Kohnen and Gideon Kiers started T.K.D.E. around 2000, principally as an audio/visual project remixing old movie classics like Murnau's Nosferatu or Lang's Metropolis, leading to a natural progression into producing this clash of organic and mechanic.
Kiers is better known for his work with Telcosystems (www.telcosystems.net) and Jason Kohnen as Bong-Ra (www.bong-ra.com).
T.K.D.E. has been strengthed by the great improvising trombone sounds of Hilary Jeffrey, Charlotte Cegarra on vocals, Nina Hitz on Cello and Eelco Bosman on guitar.

Lurker of Chalice - Lurker of Chalice (V0)

From myspace profile:
Uber dark metal mastermind, Wrest, steps above and below his usual recording evokation of Leviathan to unleash a entirely different incarnate: LURKER OF CHALICE.

With Leviathan, Wrest has poisoned the US Black Metal Underground with 3 now legendary works of pure black art. "Verrater, The 10th Sub-Level of Suicide" and "Tentacles of Whorror" firmly established the self made recordings of Leviathan as a serious threat in undergound Black Metal Circles. However their are many more layers and worlds of darkness for this artist to explore and contaminate the audio canals of the unsuspecting.

With Lurker, Wrest takes a nearly gothic approach to some of his vokills. Incorporating melodies and harmonies that although just as bleak as previous works, create a unique grim atmosphere that explores the subtle dynamics of darkness unlike anything he has done in the past. The songs are all composed and solely performed by Wrest. Some of the songs are as reminiscent of Fields Of The Nephilim (Elizium era) and Bauhaus as they are of black metal artists like: Blut Aus Nord, Emperor, or Burzum. Indeed it still reaks of Black Metal but this material drags you through new lows that are rarely reached by nowadays orthodox black metal acts.
